ANNETTE MARIE

REVIEWED BY THE LORE

I could post her individual books, but just read them all. Annette is extremely personable, and writes about characters that have so much depth, grow, and makes some of the most epic battle scenes ever to be read.
The romance doesn't make you roll your eyes. The internal dilemmas makes you think that not everything is so simple.
And there's an addition of cute to each story.

Go read, and support. She's not well known, a small town Canadian author, but I hope it won't always be that way.

TRICKSTER'S CHOICE BY TAMORA PIERCE

REVIEWED BY THE LORE

This book is part of a world created by Tamora Pierce in past books. I didn't know about her past books of the Tortall world but after reading this, I quickly picked up every other book Pierce made.

Initially, it was a bit of a hard read and it gives the prologue like you were reading a history textbook.
Then you meet the bright and quirky Alianne Cooper (Aly), and I immediately disliked her over-dramatic character. Then the world turns upside down and Aly's a slave, making a deal with a god, and being a cool spy!
I was enthralled afterwards of the world these people lived in, the magic involved, and the useful tips given throughout the books of how to be a spy.
I can't give out much more as I encourage any and all to give this book and try and be blown away by the rogue ideas in Aly's head.
